This book was really good. It kept my interest and I couldn't stop until I'd read it all in one sitting.
Christina Montgomery Mathison a.k.a. Nora Dallas, the world renowned reporter, is spirited away from the home of Hugh Lanier by two young men. One man is named Asher Prescott and one is Tynan, the most handsome man Chris has ever seen. This begins an adventure lasting several weeks.

This is an exciting tale that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Any Deveraux fan will not be disappointed.

Although this isn't my favorite Devereaux book (A Knight in Shining Armor!!), it is still a good read if you can let yourself go and not pick apart some of the plot points. A rich father has hired two men to kidnap his (to his eye!) wayward daughter and bring her back home. Chris Mathison is 28 years old and a famous journalist under an assumed name. She has hair-raising adventures that thrill her reading public and infuriate her father. He wants her to come home, settle down, and have children. The two men sent to kidnap her are polar opposites. One man is polished and sophisticated. The other man is a convict who has been promised a pardon for bringing Chris home. She should be attracted to one, but the gorgeous outlaw is the one who catches her eye. Their adventures make 'The Perils of Pauline' seem like a summer picnic. Even though this isn't one of her best, it is still a fun read.

This book kept me going. I found myself wanting to get back to the book as quickly as possible when I had to leave it. I liked both of the main characters. I really liked that the hero was so masculine and heroic.

Good book. I really enjoyed the excitement and small twist at the end. No a huge fan of our leading lady as she is always changing her mind, but still a great read.
